“An Introduction to Motors and Controls for the Motorized Rolling Shutter Systems”
This session will cover the elements of a motor, motor training (enemies of the motor, basic wiring and controls of the motor) as well as the motor and lifting capacity on the roll up shutter. This session will introduce and detail motorization for rolling shutter systems.

Guest Speakers: Jaime Gascon, Chief Product Control Division and Americo Segura, Senior Quality Assurance Inspector with Miami-Dade Building Code Compliance Office: “Product Approval - Unauthorized Fabricators & Non-Compliant Components” Committee Reports will also be given during the working lunch meeting.

“Looking Beyond Windows for Storm Protection”
The hurricane protection industry is continually coming up with many products that go beyond protecting windows only. This session will explore what is an isn’t a real form of protection, as well as what types of protection are available. You will learn about new products and technologies that protect windows and beyond, plus the rules and legalities of each new product types.
